Family Night at the Hive! (Click here for more information)

October 10, 2018

Dear CESPC Families,
Your CSPC Home & School Association along with Mr. Chauvin have been hard at work planning the Inaugural Family Night at the Hive. We are very excited to be able to provide you with all the details!

1) Family Night at the Hive is replacing our annual Fall Fest, which was the fundraiser used to fund our positive behavior program, CESPC Day, and was held during the school day. Family Night at the Hive will not only be used to fund our positive behavior program but many other programs at CESPC (e.g., teacher grants, classroom resources).
2) Our Family Night at the Hive will be held Saturday, November 10, 2018, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on our school campus.
3) Bracelets will be sold starting Thursday, October 10th, for $25 each. For each bracelet you buy before November 2nd, you will receive one service hour, or one free dress pass, or one homework pass. Additional bracelet information is included on the attached order form.
4) Family Night at the Hive is open to ALL our CSPC families, their families, relatives and friends-the more the merrier! We hope to make our Inaugural Family Night at the Hive a real family affair.
5) This year, instead of asking our families for prize donations, we are asking for monetary donations of $25 to be used towards the purchase of prizes for the games. We are hoping to purchase bigger and better prizes that all children will enjoy without sending home a bunch of trinkets that will eventually end up in the trash. We are planning on many awesome prizes, even some with school spirit!
6) We are also asking for donations of various items that will be used for our games, including: wooden pallets, plywood sheets, 2-liter Cokes, Sprites, Dr. Peppers and Fantas, as well as bags of candy (PLEASE NO NUT PRODUCTS OF ANY KIND). We will send Signup Genius pages via email for all donations needed.
7) Set up for Family Night at the Hive will be the morning of our event starting at 8:30 a.m. Anyone interested in earning service hours or just wanting to help set up can sign up via Signup Genius.
8) What fun things will there be to do at Night at the Hive?
*Carnival style games including: balloon pop, ring toss, goldfish toss, duck pond, football throw, hoop shoot, and many more!
*Blow-up obstacle course and blow-up slide
*Dunk tank with some of your favorite teachers waiting to be dunked-our very own principal might even make an appearance!
     *Cake walk
     *Face painting
     *D.J. with karaoke
*LSU at Arkansas game will be on a large screen for all our tiger fans to enjoy!
*FOOD: We will have food from a few local vendors including Wing Dat, Southern Cuisine, and Jill’s Snowballs. Carnival type food (popcorn, cotton candy, and funnel cakes) will be offered, as well as jambalaya cooked by one of our CSPC families.
9) BOOK FAIR: The CESPC Book Fair will kick off at Family Night at the Hive. This year we are bringing back the Scholastic Book Fair which has been a favorite of our students and families.

Family Night at the Hive is sure to be a wonderful night of family, food and fun! We hope you will join us in celebrating our school community.
