Senior Service Project - Pennies for Patients!

Before the Mardi Gras holiday Catholic of Pointe Coupee seniors, Kaitlyn Dugas and Madison Folse, organized a service project called Pennies for Patients. This is a program through the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Their mission is to cure blood cancers, and their goal is to also improve the quality of life for patients and their families.

Kaitlyn and Madison orchestrated change collections during homeroom, dress days where students can dress for the theme of the day with a donation, and “Pie a Teacher” for a donation. Teachers and administrators volunteered to be pied by students in exchange for a donation to Pennies for Patients.

Their total amount fundraised was $833.59. Kaitlyn and Madison, we appreciate your time and service, as well as everyone’s donations towards Pennies for Patients.
